Big Salmon River

We will now continue our trip to the Interpretive Center keeping our eyes open for great views of the seashore and the delta of the Big Salmon River. Kayakers frequent this spot, so be sure to strike up a conversation.

Once you get to the Big Salmon River you should visit the suspension bridge and have a look at the crib work of the old wharves where the sawmill used to be.  At Big Salmon River Beach the Water Fowl Observation Deck offers a commanding view of the beach and the bay.  Observe many species of birds from the deck.  

Also take a visit into the Interpretive Centre. Washroom facilities, snacks, and souvenirs are available. See a video of the history of the area in the theatre and view various artifacts from days gone by. Staff is on hand to answer your questions about the Fundy Trail or other destinations in the area.

Water and treats are available for your four-legged friends as well. Just ask!
