Hearst Lookout

As we make our way to Hearst Lookout we should keep our eyes open. Many moose have been seen around this area since the official opening of the park in August 1998. From this lookout we have great views of the western shoreline and of the forest because of the altitude.

This area is one of the highest from sea level in the first section of the park. The lookout is named after the company that owned the Pejepscot Paper Company which used to own the land where the park is now standing.
