Guided Walks - Interpretive Programs

July and August
Monday - Friday
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm (rain or shine)
$3 per person (plus tax)

All walks depart from the Interpretive Centre

Mondays - Sea Captain Burial Grounds
Come and enjoy a walk with our interpreter and learn the history of the restoration of the Sea Captains' Burial Grounds.  The Fownes and Melvin Families were shipbuilders and farmers.  They built 32 ships between 1820 and 1864.  Wear good walking shoes and bring drinking water, snacks and sunscreen.  Rain or shine.

Tuesdays - Big Salmon River Beach and School House Walk
Come enjoy a walk with our interpreter and learn about the birds, flora, fauna and history of the Fundy Coast and life at the community of Big Salmon River.  This is a moderate hike.  350 species migrate along the Bay of Fundy.  Wear sturdy footwear and bring drinking water, snacks and sunscreen.  Rain or shine.

Wednesdays - Flower Pot Rock and Melvin Beach Walk
Come enjoy a walk with our interpreter and discover the beauty of the Fundy Trail while learning about the area's flora and fauna.  This is a moderate hike for adults and children (6 years and up).  Wear good walking shoes; bring drinking water, snacks and sunscreen.  Rain or shine.

Thursdays - Bradshaw Footpath and Melvin Beach Walk
Experience the Fundy Trail and learn about the natural history of the area.  A significant part of the walk takes place on somewhat difficult terrain (rocky/rotted paths).  Wear sturdy footwear; bring drinking water, snacks and sunscreen.  Rain or shine.

Fridays - Big Salmon River Beach and School House Walk
Come enjoy a walk with our interpreter and learn about the birds, flora, fauna and history of the Fundy Coast and life at the community of Big Salmon River.  This is a moderate hike.  350 species migrate along the Bay of Fundy.  Wear sturdy footwear and bring drinking water, snacks and sunscreen.  Rain or shine.
