Birds and Flowers discovery walk with the SJ Naturalists’ Club!
June 22 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Susanne Bonnell of the Saint John Naturalists’ Club will be leading a Flowers and Birds Discovery Walk. Join in on a moderately graded walk, taking in the beautiful sights and sounds of the Fundy Trail.
The group will meet at the P2 parking lot at 8:15 am and head out on a 3 km hike. The trail is rated moderate in difficulty as we have a hill down to access the trail and a set of stairs to ascend at the finish. The actual walking path is flat.
The pace of the walk is leisurely as we stop often to check out vistas, birds and many blooms.
Participants should have sturdy footwear, bug and tick protection, water, binoculars and field guides if you have them.
Bringing lunch is a good idea as we usually arrive back at the parking lot around 12:30 where we find a nearby picnic table. You then have the option to explore further with the group or participants can go off on their own.
